I am a behavioral scientist who researches decision making, social cognition, and behavior change. I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

In my primary line of research, I build and test theories on how individuals perceive and respond to influence strategies—including marketing messages, modifications to choice architecture, and incentives. Across my work, I utilize various methods including large-scale field experiments, analysis of observational data, and lab experiments. I am particularly interested in how organizations can scale ideas that improve individuals’ health, wealth, and psychological well-being.

I received my PhD in behavioral decision making from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Before graduate school, I worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
