Our approach

From inception to implementation, we use a collaborative framework to integrate behaviorally informed interventions across the healthcare delivery spectrum. True to our core mission, we approach healthcare innovation as an interdisciplinary effort harnessing each stakeholder’s unique expertise.

Every collaboration starts with a simple inquiry from stakeholders within the UCLA Health community. Our team of behavioral scientists and clinicians will then set up an initial meeting to assess each initiative’s current state and the potential effectiveness of a nudge-based intervention. Using a multifaceted assessment strategy, we will advise stakeholders on the feasibility of their request as well as the mutual benefits of a collaboration. For projects that are adopted into our Nudge Unit portfolio, our team provides comprehensive support to design, evaluate, and socialize interventions over a six-to-twelve-month active collaboration phase.
