Project description:
Timely arrival to outpatient appointments is essential for maintaining clinic efficiency and supporting high-quality care. We designed two randomized controlled trials to increase patient punctuality using behaviorally-informed message framing. The primary intervention modifies appointment reminders to display an explicit arrival time—rather than just the appointment time—with the goal of encouraging patients to present promptly. We additionally investigate whether providing different rationales for the importance of arriving early or on time further improves compliance.
